What's a reporter to do? This site says that there's a phone outage,
but it's dated March 1. I don't know if those phone are still out, or
if someone forgot to take down the alert.
This is just one aspect of difficulties I find while trying to gauge
the severity of outages: there are click-bait sites in Italy which
make a living off years-old reports, and a multitude of sites claiming
to show outages, but which take reports from anyone on the Internet.
OK, this is me, venting.

Subject: Man robbed after allowing neighbor to use phone

A man in the Jordan area wound up getting robbed, after allowing his
neighbor to use his phone. Law enforcement arrested 21-year-old Seth
Michael Tilley Monday for the incident, which occurred last month.
Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Tilley allegedly went to
his neighbor's house Feb. 15 and asked to use the phone to call for a
ride. Tilley had to leave a message for a relative to call him back,
and the neighbor agreed to let him wait inside his house for the
return call.

Subject: CA: Here's what PG&E says caused Saturday's mass outage in
Tuolumne County

A mass outage that resulted in more than 29,000 Pacific Gas and
Electric Co. customers in Tuolumne County unexpectedly losing power
for much of Saturday was caused by a fire to a transmission structure,
a spokeswoman for the utility said Monday.
The fire resulted in a transmission line that serves the county going
out of service about 11:15 a.m. Saturday and cut off power to 29,064
customers. Megan McFarland, PG&E spokeswoman, said what exactly
started the fire was still under investigation as of Monday.

Subject: Second Texas utility commissioner exits amid power outage

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A second commissioner of the Texas utilities
regulator resigned on Monday, in continued fallout from a
weather-driven crisis in the state's power market.
Commissioner Shelly Botkin resigned effective immediately, the Public
Utility Commission of Texas said. Her departure came a week after
DeAnn Walker resigned as the regulator's chair amid criticism of the
PUC'S handling of a deadly blackout during a mid-February freeze.
