Stoltz NorthJersey.com MAHWAH - Inadequate power and uncertainty about where new power lines would be installed will further delay the installation of a temporary cell tower at Fire Company 3 by eight weeks, the township's consultant said. AT&T had agreed in its Dec. 22 lease agreement to have a temporary tower up "within two months." However, since the Jan. 21 Township Council meeting, officials have been signaling the probability of further delays. https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/bergen/mahwah/2021/02/19/mahwah-nj-att-cell-tower-delay-inadequate-power-lines/6764905002/ ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20210219222727.EA81D71E@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Fri, 19 Feb 2021 22:27:27 +0000 (UTC) From: Moderator <telecomdigestsubmissions@remove-this.telecom-digest.org> Subject: U.S. House Republicans Wasted No Time Introducing the Dumbest Internet Bill of 2021 By Joanna Nelius https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2021/02/house-republicans-wasted-no-time-introducing-the-dumbest-internet-bill-of-2021/ ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20210220161849.2A8C071C@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Sat, 20 Feb 2021 16:18:49 +0000 (UTC) From: Moderator <telecomdigestsubmissions@remove-this.telecom-digest.org> Subject: What's draining data when my computer connects to a hot spot? By Patrick Marshall Q: I have a Dell 8700 desktop running Windows 10 connecting to the internet via AT&T wireless hot spot. I use Firefox as my browser. My problem is that something is running in the background with no notice or indication to me. It is consuming my limited data limit. Whatever it is, it repeatedly connects and downloads/uploads more than 500 megabytes each time. Nothing shows up in my downloads folder or anywhere else that I can find. https://www.seattletimes.com/business/technology/whats-draining-data-when-my-computer-connects-to-a-hot-spot/ ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Sun, 21 Feb 2021
