The E911 database contains the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) and Emergency Service Number (ESN) information. It is the responsibility of the E911 Provider to assign, maintain and resolve discrepancies in MSAG data for their service area. The E911 Customer is also responsible for providing new address information and changes to address information to the Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC ) data vendor for updating to the MSAG database. Senate Bill 65 would convert a portion of a state fund that now subsidizes land-line service provided by rural telephone companies into a pot of money to be used for broadband projects. That portion of the Universal Access Fund (UAF) is due to expire later this year, a decade after the fund was created. https://www.moultrieobserver.com/news/new-broadband-bill-draws-opposition-in-georgia-senate-committee/article_76cb137c-6d7e-11eb-83db-9b1fdb26d6c9.html ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20210213212522.7949F761@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Sat, 13 Feb 2021 21:25:22 +0000 (UTC) From: Moderator <telecomdigestsubmissions@remove-this.telecom-digest.org> Subject: CenturyLink, WA state regulators at odds over huge fine for 911 outage in 2018 By Alexis Krell December 24, 2020 05:00 AM Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission staff have recommended penalizing CenturyLink up to $7.2 million for a 911 outage in 2018.
