Let me clear things up. I had a single HT814 that provides four RJ11 jacks each on a different extension. That's the only VOIP device that was on my VOIP service when this fiasco began. So disconnecting one by one was not an option. It's all or none. I have since added two brand new GXP2135s. One of them is stationed in my bedroom and seems to be cutting through more quickly. I need to run another Ethernet cable to station the other one. Can't do it until my larger trip guard arrives as the one I have now is full. I found the trip guard on the Home Depot Web site: https://www.homedepot.com/p/UT-Wire-5-ft-Cable-Blanket-Low-Profile-Cord-Cover-and-Protector-for-Floor-in-Grey-UTW-CPL5-GY/305038456 [I post the link in case some of you might need a bigger one]. It has to be special ordered as it is not something they normally stock in their stores. I have three Ethernet cables and a zip cord in the one I have now. The new one is capable of carrying ten Ethernet cables. It allows for future expansion [though I will never get to ten]. Since the trip guard is across the front entrance to my apartment [and I have to run the new cable that way], I have to wait for the new one to arrive at my local Home Depot before I can run the cable. As soon as I can station the remaining phone where I want it to go [on my computer desk], I am going to disconnect the HT814 and see what happens then. Just thought I would clear this up. Fred

Basking Ridge, NJ - Today, Verizon announced the acquisition of Senion, a global leader in location-responsive solutions. The developer of an indoor positioning platform, Senion's advanced machine-learning sensor fusion technology delivers sub-meter accuracy for precise positioning and navigation of indoor spaces. https://www.verizon.com/about/news/verizon-announces-acquisition-precise-positioning-company-senion ***** Moderator's Note ***** Better not dawdle too long in front of the pro-union poster that was pasted on the wall: you're boss will get a report, even if you were really looking at the motorcycle-for-sale flyer that was taped over the union poster ten minutes before. Did you stop and listen to the young firebrand on the streetcorner? The company troubleshooter might drop by your health club and watch for your reaction while she talks about the evils of socialism and asks if you are a right-thinking, loyal Americun. Did you pick up a flyer at the Planned Parenthood table? Don't be surprised when higher-ups start dropping hints about work-life balance and the lowered expectations that go with "Mommy" hours. Did you sit in the table alcove on the train? Well, well: so did a headhunter for a competing company. Aren't you happy with your current position? Did your daughter spend time talking with a black girl at school? Your supervisor might suggest that perhaps you should have a word with her about the impressions she's leaving on other white children and the need to avoid misunderstandings when it comes to the expectations of the lower classes. Fox, Joshua Briones, Jonathan P. Garvin, and Adam B. Korn We are pleased to present our latest Monthly TCPA Digest, providing insights and news related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). In this month's Regulatory Update, we discuss the FCC's plans to consider the creation of an online portal that would allow private entities to submit information about suspected robocalling and caller ID spoofing violations directly to the Commission's Enforcement Bureau. In addition, we look at the Senate's Deter Obnoxious, Nefarious and Outrageous Telephone (DO NOT) Call Act (S. 1913), which would impose strict new penalties for TCPA violations, as well as the FCC's signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Australian Communications and Media Authority to help coordinate a global approach to addressing unlawful robocalls and spoofing. In our Litigation Update, we look at two recent district court rulings and how they may help to clarify the impact of the Supreme Court's Facebook, Inc. v. Duguid decision on future TCPA-related litigation. https://www.mondaq.com/unitedstates/telecoms-mobile-cable-communications/1081634/monthly-tcpa-digest-june-2021?email_access=on
