AT&T (NYSE:T) disclosed in its third-quarter report that only 8.6 million people had activated the streaming service since its launch in May. Given as many as 29 million consumers might be able to get HBO Max at no additional cost, that's not an encouraging start. https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/12/06/att-may-have-just-saved-hbo-max/ ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20201206185814.AE27E77D@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Sun, 6 Dec 2020 18:58:14 +0000 (UTC) From: Moderator <telecomdigestsubmissions@remove-this.telecom-digest.org> Subject: Nonprofits, Schools Can Receive Free AT&T Wireless Internet Nonprofits, Schools Can Receive Free AT&T Wireless Internet Service, Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots for At-Risk K-12 Students. The forested peak is central in community iconography: It looms in the town logo and is the namesake of a food co-op. But the scenery of the mountain and its town-owned trail could be compromised, some residents say, if AT&T gets its way. https://vtdigger.org/2020/12/04/proposed-att-tower-in-hardwick-pits-cell-needs-against-mountain-view/ ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20201206190222.059DD77D@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Sun, 6 Dec 2020 19:02:22 +0000 (UTC) From: Moderator <telecomdigestsubmissions@remove-this.telecom-digest.org> Subject: Verizon vs T-Mobile vs AT&T: here's how the three 5G networks compare after the latest breakthroughs by Adrian Diaconescu Just a couple of weeks after it last attempted to "quantify the US urban 5G experience" by analyzing data collected between May 20 and October 24, OpenSignal is back with an interesting new report based on speed tests performed in the October 21 - November 20 timeframe. That October 21 start date for this latest rigorous research was not randomly selected, mind you, closely following Verizon's long overdue, highly publicized, and fairly contentious "nationwide" 5G network rollout. https://www.phonearena.com/news/verizon-vs-t-mobile-vs-att-5g-speed-tests-availability-comparison-new_id128736 ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Mon, 07 Dec 2020
