On May 1, 2020, the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) released its final rule (Final Rule) on "Information Blocking" as part of the 21st Century Cures Act. The Final Rule applies to the following (ONC refers to each one as an "Actor"): (i) health care providers, (ii) health IT developers subject to ONC's Health IT Certification Program, (iii) health information networks (HIN), or (iv) health information exchanges (HIE). Employees can Zoom with their colleagues during a pandemic, they can take a call re-routed from their office phone while in transit to a client meeting, and, even if they might not want to, they can reply to emails while on vacation abroad. In fact, many employers now provide smart phones to employees for company business, or have adopted bring-your-own-device policies so that employees can integrate work email or other applications onto their personal devices. https://www.arnoldporter.com/-/media/files/perspectives/publications/2020/10/erlj_winter20_borntuttjoneswirthcallahanwhite.pdf -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20201101053128.GA30095@telecom.csail.mit.edu> Date: Sun, 1 Nov 2020 05:31:28 +0000 From: Bill Horne <malQassRimiMlation@gmail.com> Subject: My wife lost her phone My wife lost her flip phone, so I'm looking for a replacement. If you have an old phone that you're willing to part with, and which A. Is on Verizon's network B. Qualifies as "4G" ... then please let me know how much you will sell it for. Make and model aren't important. Thank you.
