Now, Facebook and the United States Government have filed briefs, bringing the case one, albeit small, step closer to resolution. https://www.natlawreview.com/article/facebook-and-united-states-submit-briefs-facebook-inc-v-duguid -- Bill Horne ------------------------------ Message-ID: <9f641417-ec29-e1ca-ea4d-d95a32b64203@billhorne.com> Date: 25 Sep 2020 12:48:33 -0400 From: Bill Horne <telecomdigestsubmissions@remove-this.telecom-digest.org> Subject: Texas District Courts Remain Divided on Standing for Single-Text TCPA Plaintiffs In a pair of recent opinions, two U.S. district courts in different parts of Texas expressed inconsistent views on a topic we have been following closely: whether plaintiffs who receive just a single unwanted text message can establish a concrete injury for Article III standing. https://www.natlawreview.com/article/texas-district-courts-remain-divided-standing-single-text-tcpa-plaintiffs -- Bill Horne ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Sun, 27 Sep 2020
