The case was about the rates PUDs are permitted to charge communication companies for access to their poles. The court's denial of review means that the PUD's April victory in the Washington Court of Appeals stands, bringing an end to a 12-year legal battle that pitted the PUD against CenturyLink, Comcast and Charter Communications. https://www.chinookobserver.com/news/local/with-supreme-court-denial-of-review-pud-secures-victory-in/article_9948b524-d34e-11e9-889c-3be72283390d.html -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <9CB3497B-47CD-482C-B8B4-6B44254E804B@roscom.com> Date: 12 Sep 2019 23:50:11 -0400 From: Monty Solomon <monty@roscom.com> Subject: How Safari and iMessage Have Made iPhones Less Secure How Safari and iMessage Have Made iPhones Less Secure Security researchers say iOS's security woes stem in part from Apple putting too much trust in its own software's code. https://www.wired.com/story/ios-security-imessage-safari/ ------------------------------ Message-ID: <D2B89694-C123-4C3B-8FB0-3172DE186B04@roscom.com> Date: 12 Sep 2019 23:27:22 -0400 From: Monty Solomon <monty@roscom.com> Subject: T-Mobile gets aggressive, offers half off iPhone 11 even for current customers T-Mobile is hoping to push a lot of people to trade in old iPhones for new ones. By Eli Blumenthal With the new iPhones set to go on preorder Friday, the usual "buy one, get one" deals are starting to pop up from carriers and retailers. These deals are nothing new, offering hefty discounts if you're willing to switch providers or add a new line to your wireless account. While this is good for people thinking of switching, it never helps those who have the lines they need and are just looking to upgrade their phone. https://www.cnet.com/news/t-mobile-gets-aggressive-offers-half-off-iphone-11-even-for-current-customers/ ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Sat, 14 Sep 2019
