Subject: Bell System Technical Journal (BSTJ) online Message-ID: <siegman-3B6277.07285703112010@sciid-srv02.med.tufts.edu> The recently established site for accessing the entire publication run of BSTJ online, namely http://bstj.bell-labs.com/ continues to give some troubles in downloading articles, as reported earlier by others. I've also found that requested downloads often run for a long time with nothing happening, after which my browser (Safari on a Mac) puts up a message like "Output file damaged" with no visible file in the PDF plugin window, Either asking the browser to resend the file or simply clicking at the end of the URL in the browser's URL field and hitting return, often brings up the desired article, however, sometimes very quickly. If others continue to have troubles and report them here, I can try to pass them on to my old-timer Bell Labs contacts.

Subject: Camouflaged cellphone tower plans for Cupertino CA Message-ID: <4CD1DF5E.9040504@thadlabs.com> Despite the local Cupertino CA residents' fight against the deployment, this is the first cellphone tower plan I've ever seen and I thought it interesting to share with the group. Visiting the following URL will bring up a 7-page, 2.2MB PDF of the proposed AT&T tower facility: http://cupertino.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=14&clip_id=1037&meta_id=53189
