Get ready for the next smartphone smackdown between Apple and Samsung
This past week, we've seen some credible rumors of what we should expect for
the new Galaxy Note 8 and the as-yet-unnamed iPhone.
Apple and Samsung are set for another big face-off in the coming
months as both prepare for major smartphone launches. Which means that
we, as the phone-buying public, are being inundated with rumors about
what these phones could do.
Keeping track of pre-release rumors can be exhausting, and the
predictions should always be taken with a grain of salt. But this past
week brought us more credible glimpses of what prospective phone
buyers should expect and offered food for thought on today's
smartphone market.

Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has built its business on charging more for its
wireless service because [claims] it offers the best network.
That's a claim that has generally been proven by third-party research,
including the company coming in first on the recent RootMetrics Mobile
Performance in the United States report. Verizon has taken top honors
with RootMetrics eight straight times on the twice-annual report,
something the company has celebrated in television commercials.

More comfortable online than out partying, post-Millennials are safer,
