Subject: He didn't like the AT&T trucks parked in front of his home
- so he shot them
Jorje Jove didn't like the AT&T work trucks in front of his Hialeah
home Wednesday morning. So, he retrieved his revolver and began
shooting out the tires and the engine, police said.
Though Jove began firing to kill only a vehicle, a Hialeah sergeant
says he saw Jove fire at an AT&T worker in a raised bucket
lift. Hialeah police arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a
firearm and criminal mischief. He posted $30,000 bond. Police seized
the handgun from Jove, who doesn't have a concealed weapons
permit, according to the arrest affidavit.

Subject: Video appears to show onetime CenturyLink diversity chief
giving anti-gay sermon
A three-year-old video posted on YouTube appears to show CenturyLink's
onetime chief diversity officer delivering an impassioned sermon about
Jesus' opposition to homosexuality, among other things, before church
congregants.
The man told audience members that Jesus would give them the strength
to speak out against evil in the 2014 video, titled "JT Men's Day
Elder Odell Riley Part 2." The man appears to be Odell Riley, who has
served as CenturyLink's chief diversity officer since 2010, according
to a LinkedIn page bearing his name.

Subject: CenturyLink is being sued by everyone over deceptive
billing
By Chris Millis
It's not been a good month for CenturyLink. In the last few weeks, a
former sales rep turned whistleblower filed a lawsuit against the
company, a video surfaced showing the company's former Chief Diversity
Officer going on a homophobic rant, and a class-action lawsuit was
filed over deceptive billing practices.
To add serious legal insult to injury, the state of Minnesota is
joining the party, and has filed a lawsuit alleging the telecoms
company engaged in unfair billing practices.

Subject: CenturyLink Now Under Fire on All Sides For Fraudulent
Billing
Last month, a CenturyLink whistleblower revealed what they claimed was
a systemic practice of fraudulently over-billing customers at the
telco. The insider stated it was standard practice to routinely charge
customers for services they neither ordered nor wanted in order to
help employees meet unrealistic sales targets. Heidi Heiser, who
worked from home for CenturyLink as a customer service and sales agent
from August 2015 until October 2016, sued the company, stating she was
fired shortly after pointing it out this fraudulent billing [to] company
CEO Glen Post.
Since Heiser's initial lawsuit, numerous states have since come forth
to join a growing class action against the company, each state adding
numerous stories supporting the claim CenturyLink has been routinely
over-billing consumers. Arizona, for example, just added its name to
the growing class action.
