Lawsuit filed against CenturyLink for fraudulently added services
By Holly Morrison
DENVER - A class action lawsuit has been filed against CenturyLink in
Colorado, according to [tv station] FOX31 Denver.
FOX31 reported that Geragos and Geragos Law Firm filed the lawsuit
against CenturyLink on Monday night.
Lawyers [at] that firm are working with attorneys in Colorado [who

The lawsuit will be similar to the one filed in Arizona. It alleges
that employees with CenturyLink fraudulently added services to

Subject: CenturyLink Is Not Wells Fargo
CenturyLink Is Not Wells Fargo
Summary
* CenturyLink took a hit over the last couple of weeks due to lawsuits
claiming similar sales practices to Wells Fargo.
* The investment thesis for CenturyLink isn't based on a successful
sales culture, questioning the impact to the stock unlike with
Wells Fargo.
* Closing of the Level 3 merger remains key to the investment thesis.
Just as CenturyLink (CTL) was getting a lift from the announced CEO
succession plan, the telecom got hit with multiple lawsuits. The suits
charge a Wells Fargo (WFC) scheme hitting the stock by $3 in just over
a week.
The question investors need to ask is if such a culture similar to a
financial is even possible. Is CenturyLink not an even bigger buy
based on a succession plan that would only escalate on any real
evidence of fraud in the sales department under the current long-term
CEO?

Subject: Centurylink, Verizon, and Windstream chafe at 90-day copper
retirement
CenturyLink, Verizon and Windstream are once again engaged in a battle
over the timelines for copper retirement set by the FCC at a time when
new Chairman Ajit Pai is looking to reverse rules set in place by his
predecessor Tom Wheeler.
In its 2015 Technology Transitions Order, the FCC under Wheeler
proposed giving competitive carriers and businesses six-month' notice,
while residential customers get three months' notice before copper
facilities are shut down.
