I don't think so, unless the landline owner has requested that his number be listed. This can be done via http://www.listyourself.net/ For example, I have listed my Google Voice number this way, and I can be found on 411.com, whitepages.com, or yellowpages.com. For some strange reason, when I try anywho.com, I end up on a yellowpages.com page that says I can't be found, but if I re-enter the request on that page, it finds me. I'm not sure whether it's available to people who dial 411. I think this could also be used to list cell phones, but I'm not going to try listing mine. The disadvantage to this service is that people don't know about it. It would be nice if the carriers would make their customers aware of it by asking them if they want to be listed in directories.

That's true, but it's not the whole truth. I'm on a $30/mo postpaid plan that is NOT being offered such free roaming. I don't qualify for such free roaming until I take up a $50/mo plan instead. So T-Mo's "free international roaming data and SMS" will cost me an extra $20/mo -- per line (and we use 2 lines) -- and the resulting added $480/year, for the few weeks in the year we could make use of international roaming data/SMS, hardly lets me think of that feature as "free" :-) . Back in the day, this was quite a revolutionary advancement for mobile devices and I still remember the discussion on how wireless charging would be the future. Six years later, I have yet to own a wireless charger or know somebody who uses one. http://anandtech.com/show/9130/wireless-charging-standards-in-mobile
