Subject: Two years to secure refund of eight-year telecom overcharge
By Chris Rickert
Lamar Johnson, of Waunakee, was nothing if not respectful,
accommodating, earnest and -- especially -- patient in his billing
dispute with internet and phone provider CenturyLink.
But that didn't get him very far, and in the end $700 is still $700.

Subject: AT&T gets OK for tests using various frequencies in Texas
lab
by Monica Alleven
AT&T has received the OK for tests at its lab in Austin, Texas, using
a range of spectrum bands, including 3700-4200 MHz (C-Band), 3400-3600
MHz and others. The FCC just this week granted AT&T's application for
the experiments.
AT&T is staying mum on the suppliers of the equipment it's using,
listing "confidential" under the manufacturer section of the
application, although it does reveal using 12 prototype units and six
other units from "various suppliers." The grant indicates the tests
will commence May 1 and the authorization will remain in effect until
May 1, 2021.

Subject: Meet MA's most annoying robocallers
More than 5 billion robocalls were placed last month nationwide. See
who's calling the most in MA.
By Jean Dubail
There's nothing worse than seeing your phone buzz, picking up and
realizing it's a robocall, where someone is trying to dupe you into
giving up your bank and credit card information. With tax season
coming up, you can expect even more of those calls to start coming.
