Subject: AT&T Is Said to Want Antitrust Official on Witness List for
Trial
By Cecilia Kang
WASHINGTON - AT&T is seeking to put the head of the Justice
Department's Antitrust Division on its witness list in a trial over
the government's decision to block the phone giant's $85 billion
merger with Time Warner, according to two people with knowledge of the
pretrial activity.
The company's request for the antitrust chief, Makan Delrahim, to
testify is highly unusual. By putting Mr. Delrahim on the witness
list, AT&T is effectively forcing him to defend his own decision to
oppose the blockbuster merger. The trial over the Justice Department's
lawsuit to stop the deal is scheduled to begin on March 19.

The FBI, CIA and NSA say American citizens shouldn't use Huawei phones
U.S. intelligence agencies have issued a stern warning to Americans:
Do not buy smartphones made by Chinese tech companies Huawei or ZTE.
Top officials from the CIA, NSA, FBI and the Defense Intelligence
Agency testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee on
Tuesday that the Chinese smartphone makers posed a security threat to
American customers.
Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas asked the group to raise
their hands if they would recommend private American citizens use
products or services made by Apple competitor Huawei or smartphone
maker ZTE. None of them did.

Verizon does offer cell service in Quincy IL but the problem is
quality of service. It appears that the quality is poor according to
users reports on Facebook. See a discussion of user problems and
