by Terri J. Seligman
About a year ago, NAD issued two important companion decisions
addressing the impact of affiliate links on editorial content and
whether such links could transform editorial content into advertising.
NAD looked at Buzzfeed's "Shopping Guide" and determined that it did
not constitute "national advertising" notwithstanding the inclusion of
purchase links in the Guide that provide compensation to Buzzfeed in
some instances.

CWA Launches New Programs for Veterans
On Veterans Day, CWA President Chris Shelton announced the CWA
Veterans for Social Change program and a new National CWA Veterans
Committee.
As part of the CWA Veterans for Social Change launch, CWA military
veterans joined more than 40 veterans from across the country for an
Organizing Institute in October in New York City hosted by the
Veterans Organizing Institute (VOI) and Common Defense, which is a
veteran-led grassroots organization committed to engaging, training
and mobilizing veterans to build power and promote progressive values.

Subject: Verizon Unveils 5G Coverage Maps
Verizon now shows you exactly where it has 5G in each of the 18 cities
it covers. That's a big step forward.
By Sascha Segan
Verizon 5G is ready for its true public debut, seven months after its
initial launch. Verizon is spinning out boldly colored 5G coverage
maps, and the coverage it's claiming is much better than what we saw
in our tests in Chicago, Providence, and New York City.
