NC counties
CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) - Authorities want to know who's to blame
for a 911 outage that impacted half a dozen mountain counties for
several hours overnight Thursday into Friday.
Frontier Communications customers in Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Jackson,
Macon and Swain counties plus the Cherokee Tribal area were unable to
make calls to 911 for nearly five hours.

City
COLUMBUS, Ga. Oct 24, 2019 (WRBL) - A large Verizon outage spreading
from the East Coast to the Midwestern United States is having a heavy
effect on the local Columbus and Phenix City area, as well as Smiths
Station.
The cause of the outage is unknown, but multiple metropolitan areas
across the United States are seeing similar issues with intermittent
service, or no service at all for some Verizon customers.
