Subject: All Area Codes dot Com
Folks,
I just found this site a few minutes ago:
https://www.allareacodes.com
I've barely clicked around in it. But it could be useful for anyone
who needs to see area code layouts.
I realize that area codes exceed boundaries any more. Regardless of
what the area code(s) is/are on a person's phone, they could be
anywhere in the world where there is wireline or wireless service
available.
Nevertheless, some of you may find this Web site to be useful.
Apologies if this URL has already been posted on Telecom Digest. I
don't remember seeing it, though.

The behavior you describe is exactly how Nomorobo behaves, so I would
guess that Verizon has enabled that service on your line, just as Charter
Spectrum has allowed me to enable it on my landline. Caller ID info gets
transmitted between the first and second ring, so if the CID is flagged by
Nomorobo as a spammer, the call terminates before a second ring is heard.

Streaming, 5G, and thoughts and prayers are being deployed by telcos
to be anything other than bit handlers.

The nation's largest broadband industry lobby groups have sued Vermont
to stop a state law that requires ISPs to follow net neutrality
principles in order to qualify for government contracts.
The was filed yesterday in US District Court in Vermont by mobile
industry lobby CTIA, cable industry lobby NCTA, telco lobby USTelecom,
the New England Cable & Telecommunications Association, and the
American Cable Association (ACA), which represents small and mid-size
cable companies.

One of the frequent (well, formerly frequent) contributers
to Telecom Digest, Linc Madison, has a pretty good data set
over at:

The latest update in it is from just a week ago, so let's let
him know we haven't forgotten him!
