Subject: How to stop SIM swap attacks on iPhone with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, more
The major US carriers have been working to increase account security
to prevent a notorious hack fraudsters use called SIM swapping (or
port-out scam). However, Verizon offers something beyond the
competitors with its "Number Lock" feature. Read on for how to stop
SIM swap attacks on iPhone.
As a refresher, a SIM swap attack is when someone fraudulently
transfers your phone number to a different SIM/phone which can allow
them to access many of your other accounts.

Subject: Should you consider getting home internet service from your
mobile phone company?
Cord-cutting is taking on a whole new meaning
By Mark Huffman
You may use Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile for your mobile phone service,
but would you consider using them to provide your home internet
connection?
An increasing number of consumers have taken that step and telecom
companies are stepping up the competition. They're urging consumers to
cut the cable cord and get their internet over the air.

Some time ago I had the very same problem. In my case I was able to call
T-Mobile and have them re-enable my line/phone to receive SMS "Short
Codes" . For unknown reasons they had them turned off. :-(

Good Luck....
