Subject: The FCC's Reassigned Number Database
On December 12, 2018, the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC")
adopted a new rule to establish a reassigned number database. The
database is intended to both enable callers to verify the status of
phone numbers and help prevent consumers with reassigned numbers from
receiving unsolicited telephone calls.

$20.4 Billion Rural Digital Opportunity Fund

In recognition that broadband access is no longer a luxury, but
critical for all Americans, the Federal Communications Commission
("FCC") has released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to
establish a fund - the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund ("RDOF") - that
would commit at least $20.4 billion over the next decade to support

Those hawking specious safety concerns about the new technology have

Jack Tibbetts, a member of the Santa Rosa, Calif., city council, knew
he had a problem. It was early 2018, and he'd started getting calls
from constituents at opposite ends of the political spectrum. The
common thread: cellular antennas going up next to their homes, causing
concerns over property values and health.

Subject: Testing cellphones for radiofrequency radiation: How we did it
By Sam Roe
Over the past year, the Chicago Tribune hired RF Exposure Lab in San
Marcos, Calif., to measure 11 different cellphone models for
radiofrequency radiation.
RF Exposure, an accredited testing lab recognized by the Federal
Communications Commission, has conducted radiation tests for 15 years
for wireless companies seeking FCC approval for new products. Jay
Moulton, the lab's owner and former engineering director for
chip-making giant Qualcomm, conducted the Tribune's tests.
