I heard the old cell phones ("3G") will no longer work effective
January 1st.
Would anyone know how to identify if an old phone is 3G?
Would anyone know if they in fact will be no longer usable, and if so,
are carriers doing anything about it (like offering a free decent
upgrade)?
Thanks!

I hope not: I got my phone as a gift from my sister-in-law, who
upgraded. I
think it's "4G," but up here in the North Carolina hills
we're lucky to get 0G!

Despite Agreement, No Arbitration! Hawaii District Court Declines to
Enforce Arbitration Clause Against Non-Party Debt Collector
By Brent Owen
For nearly a century, federal law has favored arbitration where the
parties agree to it. This rule typically extends to a "nonsignatory" who
does not sign the contract but who seeks the benefit of the contractual
bargain. However, a recent decision from the United States District
Court for the District of Hawaii continues a troubling trend excluding
certain TCPA cases from that general rule.

Verizon as Dallas' best carrier
Verizon showed more robust download speeds in Dallas-based AT&T's own
backyard, but 5G still isn't worth the hype yet, according to PCMag.
ByDom DiFurio
Almost a year after rolling out 5G, AT&T and other major carriers'
mobile network speeds don't quite live up to the hype - yet.
That's according to PCMag's annual analysis

technology website has conducted for the last 11 years.
