The one in my car is about 5 inches by 5 inches by a foot long, and has slots for a dozen or so large fuses (not sure of the general name, but they're about an inch long with two big prongs sticking out) ranging from 5 to 40 or 50 amps. (This box also has a dozen other physically smaller fuse slots).
