Subject: Bluetooth Keeps Stopping
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I was given a Google Pixel Fi phone by a kind
neighbor. I got a Verizon SIM from Ting.com, and
looked forward to have a "new" phone.
It makes and receives calls OK, but there's a problem:
Every few seconds, it pops up a notice that says "Bluetooth Keeps Stopping,"
with options to send a problem report, stop the app,
or obtain app information. It's never-ending: I keep pushing "Stop the APP,"
and it keeps coming back a few seconds later.
Please tell me if you know of any cure for his problem, and thanks for your
help.
Bill

Subject: Telecommunications workers secure gains through national
strike
By Madeline Patenaude, Noah Styzkgold
After months of negotiating with Frontier Communications, workers
represented by the Communication Workers of America locals across the
country reached tentative agreements with the corporation. These 3,900
field technicians, customer service representatives, and back office
workers across California, New York, and Connecticut won wage
increases, retained 401k benefits, protected jobs from outsourcing and
eliminated two-tier medical plans. These victories show that despite
corporate austerity measures and attempts to undercut the union, the
working class can and must fight back.

Subject: Frontier contractors spill over 500,000 gallons of
reclaimed water in Pinellas County over last month
The six January spills put together totaled 507,635 gallons.
By Justin Garcia on Wed, Feb 2, 2022 at 5:29 pm
Last month, contractors for Frontier Communications were named in
several reclaimed water spill incidents, totaling over 500,000
gallons.
The spills occurred when three different contractors working for
Frontier hit water mains and released the water in mostly small
amounts, except for a huge half-a-million gallon spill on Jan. 19.
Vertek LLC, while working for Frontier, hit an eight-inch water main
causing it to break, Pinellas County reported to the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The spill went on for
four hours, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. During that time, the water spilled
and saturated the area before going into Boca Ciega Bay.
