Frontier Communications has seen a recent rally in its stock price,
which is unwarranted due to overbearing debt obligations and poor
strategic positioning. We performed extensive industry and company
analysis to determine Frontier's future outlook. Evaluating growth
rates and the competitive landscape for the telecommunications
industry, we developed a set of assumptions from which we forecasted
income statements through 2020.

Subject: Telecom company Frontier tells creditors it seeks a March
bankruptcy
Allison McNeely, Katherine Doherty and Sridhar Natarajan, Bloomberg
Frontier Communications Corp., the provider of telecom services in 29
states including Texas, is asking creditors to help craft a turnaround
deal that includes filing for bankruptcy by the middle of March,
according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Company executives including Bernie Han, Frontier's new chief execu-
tive officer, met with creditors and advisers Thursday and told them
the company wants to negotiate a pre-packaged agreement before $356
million of debt payments come due March 15, the people said. They
asked not to be identified because the meeting was private.

Verizon now offers robocall blocking by default to their cellular
customers. Today it let through a call from an unidentified company
offering me an extended warranty on my car. It blocked a recorded voice
call from my congressman (sending it to voicemail, so it was not
completely lost).

My Roku streaming media player, which is the only way I get TV now,
has just dropped Reuters from its lineup. There's a website that gives
vague reasons, but I'm guessing that Reuters wanted to be paid more,
or Roku wanted to pay less. Anyone with better info is welcome to
comment.
