Subject: Glen Allen man concerned after Verizon phone number,
account hacked
GLEN ALLEN, Va. -- A Glen Allen man is warning others of a phone scam
after his phone number was hacked and used to make unauthorized
purchases.
It happened to David Ezzell, a plumber who uses his phone every day
for work.
"That's how I make my living, people calling," said Ezzell.

Subject: Complaints: CenturyLink failed to respond to cable marking
Minnesota State officials are investigating CenturyLink after
receiving hundreds of complaints that the utility failed to respond to
requests to locate and mark underground cables.
Minnesota Public Radio News cites a state Office of Administrative
Hearings document which shows CenturyLink faces more than $780,000 in
fines for alleged violations of a law intended to protect the safety
of people and the utility infrastructure.

Subject: Don't buy the conservative censorship complex's Big Tech
narrative
by Casey Given
On Tuesday, executives from several major tech companies testified on
Capitol Hill in three separate hearings about a variety of issues,
ranging from the supposed lack of competition in the tech industry to
the alleged censorship of conservative speech online. The hearings
didn't go too well, with several congressmen continuing to turn up the
heat and blasting the executives, likely in preparation for their
regulatory proposals.
They should not be so hasty. Most tech companies such as Facebook and
Google are by no means monopolies, and calls of censorship are often
made by actors looking to boost their public profiles, and sometimes
their wallets, too. For the sake of consumers everywhere, the gov-
ernment should stay as far away from the internet as possible.
