Subject: AT&T Wants Location Privacy Suit Sent To Arbitration
by Wendy Davis
AT&T is joining T-Mobile in arguing that wireless subscribers have no
right to sue over disclosure of their geolocation data.
AT&T says in court papers filed Friday that a privacy lawsuit brought
by customer Tyler Morrison must be sent to arbitration on the grounds
that its contracts with consumers require arbitration of all disputes.

Subject: UPDATE: CenturyLink outages in SW Ohio traced to fiber
damage in Dayton
LEBANON - UPDATE @ 11:32 p.m.: Internet and phone provider CenturyLink
is reporting that outages in Lebanon, in southwest Ohio, have been
traced to a fiber damaged in Dayton, the county's emergency services
director said in a prepared statement.
The fiber "runs under a creek and they may have to bore under the
creek to make repairs," the county's director, Melissa Bour, said in
her statement. "This could be a lengthy repair and run through the
night and into the early morning hours," she said.

Subject: AT&T is getting sued for selling customerss' data
The Electronic Frontier Foundation filed suit
By Colin Leche
AT&T was sued by the Electronic Frontier Foundation today for selling
customer location data to third parties, after controversy erupted
earlier this year over wireless carriers' data practices.
The digital activism group filed the proposed class action suit today
on behalf of AT&T customers in California. The suit also named two
other companies, LocationSmart and Zumigo, which have acted as data
aggregators, collecting location information and selling it to third
parties for commercial use.
