What can we do with our days but work and pray let our dreams bind our work to our play. What can we do with each moment of our life, but love 'till we've loved it away?

Perhaps it's that he Cable and Phone companies learned that it was both far less speculative and far more profitable to overcharge individual tenants for post-construction installations :-) . Cheers, -- tlvp --- Avant de repondre, jeter la poubelle, SVP. ***** Moderator's Note ***** It's always cheaper to prewire. Not only is in a LOT less labor cost, but the service starts earning money almost immediately after occupancy, plus any competition which isn't available when the new apartment/condo owner makes a buying decision loses out. Deliver or die: either you're ready when they make the call, or you lose. Bill Horne Moderator

Subject: AT&T Turns On WiFi Calling Message-ID: <mve5km$j5k$1@dont-email.me> By Dwight Silverman AT&T has turned on a feature in Houston that allows its wireless customers to make calls over Wi-Fi when a cellular signal is not available or unreliable. Wi-Fi Calling was lit up nationwide on Thursday. Earlier in the week, AT&T received a waiver from the FCC that let it enable the feature without providing teletype services for the deaf. The FCC requires carriers to make the traditional TTY systems work over Wi-Fi, but AT&T wants to use a more modern system. After promising to implement the newer Real-Time Text, or RTT, technology by 2017, the FCC granted the waiver. http://blog.chron.com/techblog/2015/10/att-turns-on-wi-fi-calling-in-houston-nationally/ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly)

Subject: CenturyLink Customers Continue To Deal With Outages Message-ID: <561A96A0.2040404@horne.net> By Austin Harrington - Staff Writer Ames residents near the 1200 block of Ridgewood Avenue have had a summer filled with complications when it comes to the use of Internet and telephone services. Those residents, who receive services from CenturyLink, have experienced at least six outages since June, including three times in the last few weeks, due to underground cables being damaged by construction crews hired by the city to do road work and other repairs in the area. http://amestrib.com/news/centurylink-customers-continue-deal-outages#sthash.4WEWoq7n.dpuf -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly)

Subject: AT&T Tells Unlimited Data Customer To Stop Tethering, But ... Message-ID: <mve6m0$nkm$1@dont-email.me> By Laura Northrup Tethering is using your smartphone as a mobile wi-fi hotspot. It's a handy way to get online when you're, say, stuck at the dentist's office and need to turn in some work. It's also against the rules for customers with legacy unlimited-data plans from AT&T, for obvious reasons. One customer who has one of these plans is currently fighting with AT&T: they want him to stop tethering, and he says that he isn't. Ars Technica took on this question about the fundamental nature of reality and of phone plans, trying to figure out between AT&T and the customer what was happening here. AT&T told Ars that their customer, Evan, "is using an unreleased mobile OS downloaded from the Internet." http://consumerist.com/2015/10/09/att-tells-unlimited-data-customer-who-isnt-tethering-to-quit-tethering/ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly)
