The five largest US carriers are not protecting customers from
SIM-swap attacks, according to a new study.
Researchers at Princeton University contacted AT&T, T-Mobile,
Tracfone, US Mobile and Verizon Wireless and found they all used
'insecure authentication challenges that could be easily subverted by
attackers'.

The members of the Communications Business Automation Network (CBAN),
a project initiated by the ITW Global Leaders' Forum in 2018, an-
nounced the structure and governance principles for the special
purpose entity established to create a live Distributed Ledger
Technology-enabled automated settlement platform for the ICT service
provider industry. The CBAN brings together over 20 carriers and
technology developers to design an architecture for a blockchain-based
settlement platform.
