Subject: CWA Members to AT&T: No Jobs, No Deal
On Saturday, hundreds of CWAers rallied at the AT&T building in
downtown Detroit to send a message to the telecom giant: No jobs, no
deal.
CWA President Chris Shelton, CWA District 4 Vice President Linda
L. Hinton, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), and Michigan gubernatorial
candidate Gretchen Whitmer joined workers and allies at the rally to
call on AT&T to negotiate a fair contract that keeps good,
family-supporting jobs in their communities.

Subject: Does The Sprint/T-Mobile Merger Help Or Hurt AT&T And
Verizon?
Last month, T-Mobile and Sprint entered into a definitive agreement
for a merger, after multiple failed attempts. If the deal goes
through, it could effectively reshape the U.S. wireless
landscape. While the deal would increase industry concentration,
reducing the number of nationwide wireless carriers from four to
three, it would also create a larger and potentially stronger
contender to market leaders Verizon and AT&T. In this note, we take a
brief look at what the deal could mean for Verizon and AT&T.

Subject: What Happens to Sprint if the T-Mobile Deal Fails?
Prospects for the brand are limited, but some exist.
By Daniel B. Kline
While Sprint has an all-stock deal in place to merge with T-Mobile,
there are significant doubts that federal regulators will approve
it. If that happens, T-Mobile will go back to its fight against
Verizon and AT&T, with perhaps some added maverick credibility.
Sprint, however, will be in a much worse spot. The company stabilized
under former CEO Marcelo Claure, who has taken a new role as executive
chairman, but it's still the fourth-place wireless carrier and has
limited prospects to improve its position.
