They must be either for, or against, us. Distrust them and you make them your enemies, place confidence in them, and you engage them by every dear and honorable tie to the interest of the country, who extends to them equal rights and privileges with white men.

Court clears path for broadcast incentive auctions Message-ID: <b9d3c8f5-1400-49b9-907a-4419552ba7f9@googlegroups.com> By Ben Munson, CED, June 15, 2015 The U.S. Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia late last week denied petitions for changes to the FCC's framework regarding the 2016 broadcast incentive auctions. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) last year filed a challenge to the FCC's chosen methodology for predicting TV coverage area and population, claiming it could result in broadcasters losing ground during the auction's reassignment and repacking process. http://www.cedmagazine.com/news/2015/06/dc-court-clears-path-for-broadcast-incentive-auctions?et_cid=4625269&et_rid=652835436&location=top -or- http://tinyurl.com/qzteshq Neal McLain

Subject: Verizon to Retain Online Content Business of AOL Message-ID: <20150616224232.GA17442@telecom.csail.mit.edu> Recently, at a Wall Street Journal conference, Verizon Communications Inc.'s Chief Financial Officer Mr. Fran Shammo confirmed that the company will retain all online content businesses of AOL Inc.. Last month, Verizon had decided to acquire AOL for a consideration of $4.4 billion. The deal is expected to be sealed this summer. However, since the announcement of the deal, rumors have been making the round that Verizon is mainly interested in the lucrative online advertisement business of AOL and will divest the company's content division. The most popular website of AOL is the Huffington Post with around 200 million audiences. Other websites include Tech Crunch, Engadget, Moviefone and MapQuest. http://goo.gl/0g7VVP -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my address to write to me directly)
