Besides the danger of a direct mixture of religion and civil government, there is an evil which ought to be guarded against in the indefinite accumulation of property from the capacity of holding it in perpetuity by ecclesiastical corporations. The establishment of the chaplainship in Congress is a palpable violation of equal rights as well as of Constitutional principles. The danger of silent accumulations and encroachments by ecclesiastical bodies has not sufficiently engaged attention in the U.S. |

Or perhaps he has at least one network connected device at home permanently "leaking" data? I have numerous devices constantly generating Internet traffic whether I am home or not. -- Regards, David. Perhaps his Roku, television, refrigerator, or whatever was phoning home, getting updates, etc. when he was not there. Or, a neighbor is using his wifi? Next time, turn off the cable modem. Subject: Net neutrality rules effective today Message-ID: <mliii4$4j8$1@dont-email.me> Net neutrality rules effective today as federal court denies AT&T, CenturyLink request for stay by Sean Buckley The FCC's net neutrality rules will go into effect today. The rules ban blocking, throttling and prevent companies from paying to get access to fast lanes to deliver content. AT&T, CenturyLink and other telecom groups requested a stay of the FCC's new net neutrality rules but those requests were not granted by a D.C. Federal Circuit Court. http://goo.gl/aVvS5g -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my address to write to me directly) |

Subject: Will Verizon Shut Down the Huffington Post? Message-ID: <mlii2s$3d9$1@dont-email.me> by Leo Sun The future of The Huffington Post looks murky after the announcement that Verizon Communications had agreed to acquire its parent company, AOL. The potential conflicts of interest between the two companies are easy to see. The Huffington Post is a liberal blog and news aggregator, while Verizon generally leans toward the right. For example, the Huffington Post railed against the National Security Agency's mass surveillance programs and supports net neutrality. Verizon took an opposing stance on the latter issue and previously turned over telephone records to the government. http://goo.gl/RBvOvU -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my address to write to me directly) |
