You might also look at the $20 and $25 plans from Tracfone which also uses Verizon, and from Ting which will send you a Verizon SIM if you ask for one using the online chat on their web site. > 5. If someone gave this phone to you, what would you do with it? Stick a SIM in it and see how it works. It's a nice 2017 vintage phone. R's, John

Fox , Joshua Briones , Jonathan P. Garvin and Adam B. Korn We are pleased to present our latest Monthly TCPA Digest, providing insights and news related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). In this issue's Regulatory Update, we cover an FCC Order adopting changes to rules requiring voice service providers to provide immediate notification of call blocking. The Order, which addressed USTelecom's Petition for Reconsideration, approved the use of an additional Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) Code for notifications and delays the effective date of the rules. We also report on the Robocall Trace Back Enhancement Act, legislation introduced by Senators Edward Markey and John Thune that aims to protect the Industry Traceback Consortium and voice service providers from lawsuits for receiving, sharing, or publishing information about robocalls. The bill would also allow the FCC or the consortium to publish a list of voice service providers that originate or transmit a substantial number of robocalls or that refuse to participate in traceback efforts. https://www.mondaq.com/unitedstates/telecoms-mobile-cable-communications/1146080/monthly-tcpa-digest-december-2021?email_access=on

They are building power with hundreds of thousands of workers at AT&T and other telecom companies to bargain good jobs and strong contracts. IHX workers across the country have been organizing to have a voice on the job in Arkansas, Detroit/Southfield Michigan, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey. Google/BDS Connected Solutions On Tuesday, a supermajority of customer service workers at BDS Connected Solutions, a contractor for Google Fiber, signed union cards to join the Alphabet Workers Union (AWU-CWA Local 1400) and filed with the National Labor Relations Board for a representation election. Most of the workers are already dues-paying members of AWU-CWA. https://cwa-union.org/news/organizing-update-141
