President Joe Biden has made the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act a key part of his agenda. He knows that making it easier for workers to join unions and giving us more power to bargain strong contracts will help restore the middle class.

It's up to us to make sure that working people across the country know about the PRO Act and contact their Senators to demand that they support the bill. During the week of June 14, union members and supporters will be making thousands of calls to educate voters in key states about the bill.

A seven-hour breakdown of emergency phone line numbers in France was linked Thursday to up to four deaths, including that of a 63-year-old man who needed an ambulance after suffering a heart attack.

Many distressed people found themselves unable to reach emergency medical, police or fire numbers, or had their calls cut off mid-conversation, from around 5 pm (1500 GMT) until midnight on Wednesday.

National telecom operator Orange has acknowledged responsibility for the problems, with chief executive Stephane Richard offering his "deepest apologies" after being summoned to the interior ministry to explain the breakdown.

***** Moderator's Note *****

I don't know why Breitbart would put a story about emergency-service outages in France and other countries with a URL that seems to indicate that it's a report about "covax" vaccine shortages.

[This is from a site that accepts reports from users. -mod]

CenturyLink problems in the last 24 hours in Leicester, North Carolina

[Web page shows graph of "numbers of reports vs. Time of Day [EST]". The graph's Y axis goes up to 10 reports, and the graph doesn't show any spikes that reach that level. Of course, if there's a sever outage, users couldn't file a report - mod].
