Robinson,Jr. , Sarah Platt and Christine Bestor Townsend Many people have commented on social media regarding the anti-racist movement that has been gaining strength in the wake of police officers killings around the country. Unfortunately, some of these posts are inflammatory, derogatory, offensive, or racist. Even though employees are generally posting on their personal social media pages and are often doing so outside of work time, coworkers and even community-members to employers are increasingly complaining about offensive comments employees are posting on various social media platforms. While sometimes the conduct is so severe that employers can easily determine the appropriate consequences, in other cases employers must balance a variety of legal requirements, employee and public relations concerns, and their own company values. This change is happening at a time when family and friends are not allowed to visit adults in custody due to COVID-19 distancing restrictions. The new system has technical limitations that are causing frustration for attorneys, family and friends who want to communicate with prisoners. In response, a family member started a petition asking the DOC to make ten improvements to the new system. https://www.corvallisadvocate.com/2020/families-of-oregon-prisoners-fighting-state-and-centurylink-over-access/ -- Bill Horne Telecom Digest Moderator ------------------------------ Message-ID: <CAH8yC8n4y5i5DQ3h-3hL5eJyuc=gn3p_E8spfsjnRdVRKVatUA@mail.gmail.com> Date: 2 Jul 2020 00:26:17 -0400 From: "Jeffrey Walton" <noloader@gmail.com> Subject: Church Sues Zoom After Bible Study Hacked With Pornography One of the oldest churches in San Francisco is suing Zoom Video Communications Inc. after a hacker infiltrated its virtual bible study and subjected participants to pornography.
