CBS 2 couldn't even get through an interview without an unwanted phone call. Claude King wasn't sure if it was a robocall, but said, "It's one of those numbers that has my prefix." https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2019/02/18/robocalls-relief-in-the-works-may-not-stop-the-ringing/ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20190218182724.GA32692@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Mon, 18 Feb 2019 18:27:24 +0000 From: Bill Horne <bill@horneQRM.net> Subject: Wisconsin: Price made right for Beaver Dam man; dial tone returns for Lodi couple A week ago, Larry Krueger couldn't get the right price for his satellite TV service, and Lora and Richard Brumm didn't have a working landline telephone. While most mainstream figures and media outlets have accepted the notion that vaccinations are 100% beneficial, the "anti-vax" minority has apparently congregated into a community on the social media site. With measles making somewhat of a comeback among uninoculated youths across the U.S., Facebook has been under pressure to stamp down on skeptical content, which is often classed as "fake news." Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson, the spokeswoman of the American Academy of Pediatrics, met with Facebook staff to ask that something be done: https://www.libertynation.com/youre-never-alone-tech-tyranny-and-digital-despots-feb-18/ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Wed, 20 Feb 2019
