Verizon and rivals AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint are racing to deploy 5G equipment, which could provide connections 10 to 40 times faster than current 4G LTE networks. But they have to deploy hundreds of thousands of new, smaller cell sites and antennas across the country to create the services. Some localities are pushing back against the buildout, whether for health, aesthetic, or other reasons. http://fortune.com/2019/02/11/verizon-lets-5g-campaign-health-lobby/ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20190212032407.GA12510@telecom2018.csail.mit.edu> Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2019 03:24:07 +0000 From: Bill Horne <bill@horneQRM.net> Subject: AG Shapiro Sues Verizon After Amazon Promotion Issues PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pennsylvania's Attorney General is suing Verizon, saying the company failed to deliver promised incentive items to consumers who enrolled in certain two-year contracts with the company.
