The FirstNet Authority, an independent government agency, granted AT&T the right to use Band 14 specifically to support public safety subscribers on FirstNet. In areas where coverage already exists, AT&T said it's using Band 14 to help first responders get the capacity they need to get the job done. So far, Band 14 was deployed on existing cell sites in more than 675 markets nationwide. https://www.telecompaper.com/news/atandt-extends-reach-of-firstnet--1318401 -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20191203192815.GA15439@telecom.csail.mit.edu> Date: Tue, 3 Dec 2019 19:28:15 +0000 From: Bill Horne <bill@horneQRM.net> Subject: 37 state AGs accuse CenturyLink of 'weaponizing' class settlement to evade AG suit By Alison Frankel (Reuters) - In these hyper-partisan times, any newly-filed brief that includes signatures from the Attorneys General of 36 states and the District of Columbia is worthy of attention - especially when the AGs have joined forces to argue that a defendant is attempting to evade a state enforcement action by settling a private class action on the cheap. https://www.reuters.com/article/legal-us-otc-ags/37-state-ags-accuse-centurylink-of-weaponizing-class-settlement-to-evade-ag-suit-idUSKBN1Y02IZ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20191203193551.GA15483@telecom.csail.mit.edu> Date: Tue, 3 Dec 2019 19:35:51 +0000 From: Bill Horne <bill@horneQRM.net> Subject: Hawaii: Companies respond to outage inquiry By Caleb Loehrer LIHUE - Efforts are underway to repair the undersea cable responsible for islandwide internet outages in late October and early November, but the problem is 10 miles offshore, over a half mile deep and is expected to take several more weeks to fix, according to an executive with the company responsible for maintaining the fiber optics line. https://www.thegardenisland.com/2019/11/29/hawaii-news/companies-respond-to-outage-inquiry/ -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <62D45960-0D2E-425E-A876-BE1B5E868C19@roscom.com> Date: 3 Dec 2019 10:06:59 -0500 From: "Monty Solomon" <monty@roscom.com> Subject: Spam calls grew 18% in 2019 By Manish Singh Do you feel you have been receiving more spam calls of late?
