Some AT&T customers with older cell phone plans have learned in the last week that they'll be paying more each month. AT&T couches this $10 monthly price hike as a way to enjoy "bonus data" in a support document detailing the changes to older Mobile Share plans. In each case, AT&T has added 15GB of data to the plans while also increasing the monthly rate. https://www.tomsguide.com/news/atandt-just-forced-customers-to-pay-more-for-bonus-data -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20191111211250.GA2728@telecom.csail.mit.edu> Date: Mon, 11 Nov 2019 21:12:50 +0000 From: Bill Horne <bill@horneQRM.net> Subject: Almost 170,000 'Ghost Texts' Arrived Over 8 Months Late Due to a Glitch By Marie C. Baca Cupid was late this year. More than eight months late. Hundreds of people reported on social media that overnight on November 8 they had received texts from partners, employers and even dead family members that were originally meant to arrive in February. Many were sent on Valentine's Day. https://www.sciencealert.com/a-glitch-sent-168-149-ghost-texts-over-eight-months-late -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <f0049bb2-d9a1-4075-8dd0-ca7c14b1ee28@googlegroups.com> Date: 9 Nov 2019 12:48:29 -0800 From: HAncock4 <withheld@invalid.telecom-digest.org> Subject: Re: Firefox at 15: its rise, fall, and privacy-first renaissance On Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:34:52 AM UTC-5, Monty Solomon wrote: > Firefox at 15: its rise, fall, and privacy-first renaissance > > Mozilla's browser debuted on November 9, 2004, and became a phenom > before losing ground to Chrome. It had an option to disable certain unwanted features, but I could not make this option permanent--I had to reenter it every time and it was cumbersome. Eventually I disconnected it from my machine.
