While the FCC rules define PAL geographic license areas is one census tract, the FCC has proposed to increase the size of the geographic license area with both Partial Economic Areas (PEAs) and counties under consideration. https://www.fiercetelecom.com/telecom/centurylink-says-fcc-should-maintain-3-5-ghz-pals-to-ease-rural-broadband-deployments -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <29f59449-e1ff-477d-8456-dd3507f203dd@googlegroups.com> Date: Thu, 1 Feb 2018 16:54:23 -0800 (PST) From: HAncock4 <withheld@invalid.telecom-digest.org> Subject: History -- fishing vs. undersea cables A 1961 article in WUTR discusses the issues of protecting undersea communication cables against aggressive commercial fishing methods.
