Subject: AT∓T, Verizon, T-Mobile Could Face Disruption From Unlikely Competitors - Smaller Mobile Providers Reselling Their Service At Huge Discounts
by Anusuya Lahiri
• A handful of upstart wireless providers like MobileX and DISH
Network Corp's DISH
• Boost Infinite failed to gain traction despite offering monthly
service plans at less than half the average cost of the major
national networks.
• Each of these challengers is reselling service provided by one of
the big three carriers AT&T Inc, Verizon Communications Inc, or
T-Mobile US Inc through wholesale agreements known as mobile virtual
network operators or MVNOs, Bloomberg reports.

Subject: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile 5G plans set for full C-band boost
By Dan Meyer
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile US and U.S. Cellular are all set to unleash
more of their extensive C-band spectrum assets to power their 5G
networks that have so far been limited by aviation interference
concerns.
The four largest U.S. operators recently filed a letter with the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) stating they would limit the
propagation of their cell towers transmitting C-band signals near many
airports. This includes 188 larger airports and military bases around
the country.

Subject: How to make America's wireless networks more reliable
By Jonathan ChangMeghna and Chakrabarti
T-Mobile had a major cell phone outage in February.
Last year, AT&T mobile customers in Minnesota lost service for four
days. Why?
“As we’ve displaced the old deeply regulated reliable network with the
best-effort internet network, we’ve now entered this sort of twilight
where nothing is reliable anymore," Harold Feld says.
