Subject: Issues For Brands And Social Media Influencers
by Nicholas Saady (New York)
Pryor Cashman lawyer Nick Saady [The author of the piece] wrote an
article for TechCrunch about the legal issues and risks faced by
influencers and brands in the social media age, particularly those
relating “to copyright licensing and infringement, disclosures and
statements in endorsements, compliance with securities laws, and
defamation.”
Nick writes that as social media has “created unparalleled
opportunities" for brands and influencers "to market their goods and
services ... novel legal issues and risks have emerged for both.”

Subject: QUICK LOOK: Will 5G Fixed Wireless Access Technology Alter
Connectivity As We Know It?
by Paige McKirahan (New York)
Last year, we saw the wireless communications market undergo a massive
shift as the deployment of the c-band 5G spectrum became
widespread. With this new spectrum came an entirely new era of
connectivity, opening the door to faster connections supported by
lower latency, higher speeds, and increased capacity. Improvements to
incumbent broadband connections directly impact the capabilities of
newer wireless services, and one in particular is making its way into
2023's wireless industry conversations. Fixed wireless access (FWA)
connections are now capable of competing with traditional fixed and
mobile broadband providers, giving it the potential to shake up the
market as we know it.

Subject: FL: Several more residents discuss problems with internet
and cell service in Ocala/Marion County
Three more residents submitted letters to Ocala-News.com to voice
their concerns regarding the quality of internet and cellphone service
in Ocala/Marion County.
“I agree with the gentleman who submitted a letter about the poor
internet and cell service. CenturyLink is the only internet provider
in my area and their service is absolutely horrible. I’ve had
technicians come out and pretty much tell me, “Sorry, we can’t do
anything for you.” I have sent an email to commissioner Michelle Stone
about this problem and about having other providers run lines with no
response. We may live on farms out here on 326 but we would still like
connectivity,” says Ocala resident AJ Ward.
