"We" weren't the ones who needed the lesson. Our government learned
that when it hires people whom have a conscience and orders them to
break the law, bad things happen.

I think there's a kinder, gentler explanation: most people know that
almost everything they do on their computer while at home is a trivial
pursuit of entertainment, and not worth protecting. I don't keep my
back records in the cloud, nor my tax files, but I keep photos of my
family there, and pictures of our garden, and a blog as well.
The key isn't to care about spying: it's to never put things out in
public that we might be embarrassed to see on a billboard.

Subject: Fcc Solicits Nominations For Rechartered North American
Numbering Council Working Group Membership
In anticipation of the charter renewal of the North American Numbering
Council (NANC or Council), after appropriate consultation with the
General Services Administration, in this Public Notice, the Wireline
Competition Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or
Commission) announces that, consistent with the Federal Advisory
Committee Act,1 Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel has identified the
working groups that will assist the Council in carrying out its work
during the two-year term of its anticipated renewed charter, estimated
to run from September 2023 to September 2025. The working groups are
as follows:
• Numbering Administration Oversight Working Group (NAOWG)
• Call Authentication Trust Anchor (CATA) Working Group
• Toll-Free: Future Utilization of Numbers Working Group
• Internet of Things Numbering Usage Working Group
