According to a June 5 filing with the FCC, T-Mobile presented a PowerPoint spelling out why the transaction will not harm competition or consumers. In fact, T-Mobile said it’s a much easier case than Verizon’s acquisition of TracFone for a number of reasons. https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/t-mobile-makes-case-fcc-mint-buyout

Sources report these markets cover approximately 40 percent of U.S. households. Many rural areas have difficulties consistently accessing wireless networks and T-Mobile has been considering remote locations into the future of its vast network. Over 40 percent of T-Mobile’s gross net adds for Home Internet fixed wireless services come from these smaller markets. The company is planning more stages to provide reliable connections to all its customers, no matter where they roam. https://cordcuttersnews.com/t-mobiles-rural-internet-is-expanding/

When I was working for MCI in the late seventies, they built a microwave junction station on the south side of Louisville. The local residents freaked out about it. They got a temporary restraining order claiming that the microwave would sterilize their children. The lawyers locked horns. Finally, they got the restraining order lifted. But it took a good bit of time to do it. Those people were crashing through our fence with four wheel drive vehicles and doing everything else they could do to let MCI know how angry they were. That was the only MCI facility with a full security wall surrounding it and a burglar alarm company monitoring the premises. I wonder why (ROTFL)? It is this kind of ignorance that make things so difficult. Fred
