Subject: T-Mobile US suffers second data theft within months
Also, Capita's buckets are leaking, ransomware attackers deliver
demands via emergency alert, and this week's critical vulns
By Brandon Vigliarolo
in brief We'd say you'll never guess which telco admitted to a
security breakdown last week, but you totally will: T-Mobile US, and
for the second time (so far) this year.
For those counting, this also makes the seventh incident in five years
at the cellular provider – though this one is small compared to the 37
million subscribers whose data leaked in January. Only 836 customers
were caught up in this one.

Subject: Verizon signs deal with Vertical Bridge for rapid expansion
of new cell towers
New York– Verizon and Vertical Bridge have entered into an agreement
to build cell towers across the US to expand Verizon’s 4G and 5G Ultra
Wideband services. Vertical Bridge has agreed to construct these
towers to-suit with Verizon as the anchor tenant. The towers will be
held in an LLC formed by Vertical Bridge in which Verizon has a
profits interest. The new towers will add to the overall
communications infrastructure in the US, and will help to fulfill the
need for new locations where towers do not exist today to continue to
enhance the wireless experience.
