Subject: FTC's Proposed Click To Cancel Rule For Online Commerce
by Sheila Raftery Wiggins
The Federal Trade Commission's proposed click to cancel rule requires
companies to provide more detailed information and notices about
cancelling automatic renewals, subscriptions, and memberships which
are prevalent in online commerce. The proposed rule, titled Negative
Option Rule, is at:
https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/p064202_negative_option_nprm.pdf
The goal of the proposed rule is to combat unfair or deceptive
practices that include recurring charges for products or services
consumers do not want and cannot cancel without undue difficulty. The
FTC is currently seeking comments on the proposed rule until April 19,
2023.

Subject: Leftists Won't Hold Themselves Accountable, The Courts Must
by Jared Roberts
For too long, the left has felt emboldened to tell lies about America
First Republicans. Emboldened by the lack of consequences they have
suffered for such lies, emboldened by the power these lies have had in
upending the lives of their political adversaries, these lies have
grown commonplace. Examples include lies such as calling someone a
white supremacist, a Nazi, a domestic terrorist, and more. It's time
the courts do something about that.
Everyone knows how reckless left-wing media has been in their
storytelling about high-profile America First Republicans, but the
problem runs much deeper. There are countless examples of public
figures being defamed, but what goes unnoticed is the everyday,
America-loving, private citizen being defamed. Defamed by neighbors,
coworkers, and more, happening generally through social media. The
left won't hold themselves accountable for their lies, so the courts
must.

Subject: T-Mobile steers 3.45 GHz tests to Seattle area
By Monica Alleven
T-Mobile told the FCC last week that it wants to modify its
experimental authorization so that it can continue to conduct 3.45 GHz
tests in the Seattle area, but it’s no longer interested in doing 3.45
GHz tests in the Dallas, New York City or Kansas City, Missouri,
markets where it was previously authorized.
The 3.45 GHz auction closed at the end of 2021 after grossing $21.8
billion. AT&T was the big winner in that auction, taking home 1,624
licenses in 406 licenses areas known as Partial Economic Areas
(PEAs). T-Mobile won 199 licenses in 79 PEAs.

Nah. They get very little publicity. They do it because Congress
cares about it -- and it's generally only a few members of Congress
these days, mostly from South Florida where the pirate activity is the
greatest.

Congress absolutely does not care about amateur radio.

"Christian" networks are very wealthy and have large and politically
engaged audiences, so there is no shortage of lobbying to keep the FCC
(or the IRS) from becoming too interested in their operations.

Subject: Mobi signs MVNO agreement with T-Mobile
By Linda Hardesty
The Hawaiian wireless carrier Mobi has signed a mobile virtual network
operator (MVNO) agreement with T-Mobile. The multi-year relationship
will enable Mobi customers to tap into the power of the nationwide
T-Mobile network throughout the Hawaiian islands and across the
mainland United States.
Mobi was founded in 2005 and, although it doesn’t officially publish
its subscriber numbers, the number most recently reported was about
55,000 subs.

Subject: Kagan: Next chapter of wireless growth for Verizon, T-
Mobile, AT&T
By Jeff Kagan
When wireless and telecom earnings were announced last week, they
revealed something important everyone needs to understand. The
industry is changing and transforming, once again. Wireless has always
been one of the healthiest ongoing growth stories of all time. While
that continues, things are changing. Over time we have seen the
wireless growth wave shift, several times in fact. So, let’s take a
look at where growth will come from next for Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T
and the larger wireless industry.
Last week I was a guest on the TD Ameritrade Network, The Watch List
with host Nicole Petallides discussing wireless and telecom earnings
and the future of Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile. I expanded the conversation
to what is coming next and thought this was important to share some of
these ideas with you here.

Subject: Dish meddles with T-Mobile's $3.5B deal for 600MHz spectrum
By Mike Dano
Dish Network filed a new petition with the FCC seeking to block or
modify T-Mobile's $3.5 billion purchase of 600MHz spectrum from
Columbia Capital.
T-Mobile announced its plans to purchase the 600MHz licenses from
Columbia Capital last year, but it hasn't yet received FCC approval
for the transaction. Now, Dish is hoping to convince the FCC to either
block the deal or put conditions on it.
