3 years after Sprint merger, T-Mobile employs 9k fewer people, insists
it upheld pledge on jobs
by Todd Bishop
John Legere was adamant, bordering on indignant.
“This merger is all about creating new, high-quality, high-paying
jobs, and the New T-Mobile will be jobs-positive from Day One and
every day thereafter,” wrote T-Mobile’s then-CEO in an April 2019 post
responding to critics of the merger. “That’s not just a
promise. That’s not just a commitment. It’s a fact.”

Subject: OR: Grants Pass clinic operates without phone lines for
almost a week
By: Mariah Hill
GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Since Thursday of this month, the Grants Pass
clinic suffered phone lines in the building being down. Over time, the
clinic has had a difficult time getting in contact with its patients.
"We understand that a line was cut in the ground but we don't know who
cut it. But it seems to be due to some construction in the area," says
Christi Siedlecki, CEO of Grants Pass Clinic. We didn't know about the
cut line and the phones being down right away."

Subject: Push to ban ransomware payments following Australia’s
biggest cyberattack
By Luke Huigsloot
The hack on Latitude Financial is Australia’s biggest cyberattack,
with driver’s license numbers, passports and financial documents among
the stolen information.
The Australian government is being pushed to ban the payment of cyber
ransoms, usually demanded in cryptocurrency, following a local
business suffering a mass data breach and subsequent ransom demand.
